Following the advice of our medical officers of health, both of Ontario and Toronto, and with concerns for the health and wellbeing of our customers as well as of our employees, Ilhas de Bruma Restaurant is now closing the dine-in area, but still providing Takeout and Delivery options.
As the number of positive COVID-19 cases continues to rise across the province, Ontario health officials are recommending the temporary closure of all dine-in restaurants and bars to prevent the spread of the virus.
The announcement was made first by Ontario’s Medical Officer of Health Dr. David Williams at a daily briefing with reporters on Monday afternoon. He added that the recommendation does not apply to takeout or delivery service.
The city’s medical officer of health, Dr. Eileen de Villa urged dine-in restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and movie theatres to close. De Villa added: “I cannot overemphasize how important this is, particularly at this critical time”.
